ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Two Homes, One Idea

In Pascoe Vale, a single block carries two homes that share a language without repeating each other. The pair is mirrored, but the materials are reversed, so each dwelling holds its own identity while the composition stays whole.

That reversal is the idea. White glazed brick anchors one side and charcoal brick the other, with a rendered centre section holding the two entries together. Above, two angular gabled forms rise in full height black framed glazing and vertical timber batten screens, catching light through the day and glowing from within at dusk. The name came from the way that upper glazing behaves in the late afternoon.

The plan is generous and deliberately quiet. A guest suite sits on the ground floor, with the living, meals and kitchen running to the rear. Upstairs each home has a master suite with walk in robe and ensuite, two further bedrooms and a leisure room of 22 square metres. Unit 2 adds a music room and powder room to the ground floor.
